SIMPLE BATCH DISTILLATION MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO: CLMT-10
DESCRIPTION:                                                                                               
The equipment consists of a distillation still made of stainless steel. the feed in the still is heated externally by heater. The vapours form the top of the vessel are condensed in the type condenser by circulating cooling water. Temperature of the feed mixture is controlled by means of a digital temp. controller. The condensate is collected in a receiver made of stainless steel.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To study the characteristics of Simple Distillation.
To verify of Reyleigh’s Equation
UTILITY REQUIRED:
Water Supply 2 LPM at 5m head.
Drain.
Electricity Supply: 1 Phase, 220 V AC, 3 kW.

Distillation still Made of Stainless Steel, capacity 5 ltrs. Insulated with  ceramic wool and cladding with Aluminum foil.
Condenser Concentric Tube type made of Stainless Steel
Distillate tank Made of Stainless Steel, capacity 2 Ltrs.
Heater Nichrome wire heater.
Control panel comprises of  
Digital Temp. Controller 0-199.9°C, RTD PT-100 type (For Steam Generator)
Digital Temp. Indicator 0-199.90C with multi-channel switch.

ABSORPTION IN SIEVE PLATE COLUMN MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMT-11
DESCRIPTION:
The set up consists of a column fitted with perforated plates. Liquid is fed at the top of the column through distributor. The solute gas and air are measured separately, mixed in a mixing chamber and then passed through the perforated plates vertically upward and absorbed in liquid. All the flow rates can be independently varied to simulate different conditions. Liquid Sample can be taken out from the bottom of the column for analysis.

To study absorption of CO2 in aqueous NaOH solution in a sieve plate column.

DEMONSTRATIONAL SECTION WORKING MODEL OF TWO STROKE PETROL ENGINE
 

·       Engine type-Single cylinder, two stroke, (Re -condensed Engine)  Spark ignition, air cooled, Petrol engine, engine displacement: 100-150cc.With carburetor, spark plug etc. complete with all salient parts sectioned for study of the various components and their function and to plot port-timing- diagram on the single cylinder two-stroke petrol engine.

·         The whole system should be mounted on to a sturdy iron frame, with caster wheels for easy movement of the entire model.

·         Provision of necessary attachments for plotting of valve timing diagram.


ABSORPTION IN PACKED BED MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMT-12
DESCRIPTION:
The set up consists of a glass column packed with Rasching rings. Liquid is fed at the top of the column through distributor. The solute gas and air are measured separately, mixed in a mixing chamber and then passed through the packed column vertically upward and absorbed in liquid. All the flow rates can be independently varied to simulate different conditions. Liquid sample can be taken out from the sampling point at the bottom of the column for analysis.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To determine the number of transfer units, Height of transfer unit and overall mass transfer co-efficient for the given system.

ABSORPTION IN WETTED WALL COLUMN
MAKE : CREATIVE LAB
MODEL NO: CLMT-13

DESCRIPTION:
The set up consists of a glass column. Alkaline liquid is fed at the top of the column along the walls to create a laminar liquid flow along the walls of a wetted wall column. Flow rates of Air and Co2, are measured separately, mixed in a mixing chamber and then passed through the column vertically upward and absorbed in liquid film around the wall. All the flow rates can be independently varied to simulate different conditions. Liquid Sample can be taken out from the sampling point at the bottom of the column for analysis.
