VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM SET-UP
TECHNICAL DETAIL
Distillation still, capacity 1 liters, made of stainless steel 304 Grade insulated with ceramic wool fitted with Nichrome wire heater digitally controlled by closed loop PID controller 0-199.9°C, Omron/Schneider/LAE make and concentric tube type condenser. 
Water circulation by using FHP pump from cooling water tank, Capacity 15 Ltrs, made of stainless steel 304 Grade. 
Temperature Sensors RTD PT-100 type (IST/CRZ make, Class A, α=0.003851) with temperature transmitter and local digital display. 
Digital Temp. Indicator 0-199.9°C, MIPL/VEPL make, Digital Voltmeter (0-300 Volt) and Dimmer stat (0-230 V, 2A.) with multi-channel switch, L&T/standard make On/Off switch, Mains Indicator & fuse etc..

VAPOUR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM SETUP MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMT-23
DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                 
The basic data of any distillation problem are the equilibrium between the liquid and vapour phases of the system subjected to distillation. Hence is of great importance to study the vapour-liquid equilibrium. The set-up consists of distillation still with a heating element. An electrical Dimmerstat is connected to heating element for varying heat input. The vapours form the top of column are condensed in the shell and tube type condenser by circulating cooling water. The condensate is collected in reflux drum and feedback to column as reflux. A tank with pump is provided to circulate cold water to condenser. Flow rates can be regulated through control valve fitted. Instrumentation is provided to measure the temperatures at different points.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To determine the vapour Liquid Equilibrium curve for CCl4 and Toluene or any other mixture.

MASS TRANSFER WITH AND WITHOUT CHEMICAL REACTION MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMT-24
DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                     
The setup consists of a Reactor, in which solid cylinder of Benzoic Acid is placed and is stirred by means of a variable speed mixer. Baffles are also provided. The Reactor is made of Stainless Steel. Peltilizer is provided to make the solid cylinder of Benzoic Acid. Constant temperature water bath arrangement is provided to conduct the experiment at various temperatures.
EXPERIMENTATION:
Dissolution of Benzoic acid in water: Kinetic studies
Dissolution of Benzoic acid with reaction in aqueous NaOH solution.

DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                                                   
The set up consist of three vertical column packed with activated Charcoal. Columns are operated individually. Liquid feed with dye is fed to the individual column from the bottom and samples are collected from the top at regular interval of time. Rotameter is provided to measure the flow rate. Pump with a feed tank is provided for fluid flow.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To obtain the breakthrough curve and hence length of unused bed for the given adsorption system.
