STUDY OF P/I & I/P CONVERTER MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLPL:02
DESCRIPTION:
The present set-up is designed to study the working principle and calibration procedure of P/I converter and I/P converter. Air pressure is given to both by compressed air supply. Output generated by both converters is observed and measured. P/I converter accepts the pressure input 0-1 bar and gives output 4- 20 mA DC accordingly, which can be measured using Digital Current Meter and in case of I/P converter, the current input of 4-20 mA DC is given to I/P Converter by Digital Current Source and output response in 3-15 PSIG is observed and measured by Bourdon type Pressure Gauge. Th set-up is self-contained with Air pressure regulator, pressure gauges and necessary piping. All component and accessories are properly mounted on the rigid MS structure and fitted on a base plate to form a table top set-up.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To study of working principle and calibration procedure of I/P converter.

Portable design with capacity of up to 1500 grams
Integrated dimmer for speed control
Leak proof structure ensured through high quality gaskets
Filter paper, bowl and cover included
Sturdy design that makes the apparatus explosion proof
Fast braking system for shorter processing time of the samples

ELASTIC RECOVERY MOULD
 Specification:
A set of three moulds as per IRC-SP-53-2002 made of brass /gunmetal with the shape, dimensions and tolerances. The ends B & B` are known as clips, and the parts A & A’ are known as sides of the mould. The dimensions of the mould shall be such that when properly assembled it will form a briquette specimen having the following dimensions. Total length : 75 ± 0.5 mm
A=36.5±0.1MM
B=30.0±0.1MM
C=17.0±0.1MM
D=10.0±0.1MM
E=10.0 ± 0.1 MM

MARSHALL STABILITY TEST APPARATUS
 Description:
Originally developed by Bruce Marshall, a highway engineer in U.S.A later on standardized by ASTM. Generally the test is applicable to hot mix designs using bitumen and aggregates upto a maximum size of 25mm. In this method, the resistance to plastic deformation of cylindrical specimen of bituminous mixture is measured when the same is loaded at periphery at 5cm per min. This test procedure is used in designing and evaluating bituminous paving mixes. The test procedure is extensively used in routine test programmers for paving jobs. There are two major features of the Marshall method of designing mixes namely. a) density voids analysis, b) Stability-flow tests. The Marshall stability of mix is defined as a maximum load carried by a 0 compacted specimen at a standard test temperature of 60 C. The flow value is deformation the Marshall test specimen at under goes during the loading upto the maximum load, in 0.25 mm units. In this test and attempt is made to determine optimum binder content for the type of aggregate mix and traffic intensity.
Specification:
1A loading unit motorized, capacity 5000kgf with two telescopic pillars and adjustable cross head. Limit switches are fitted inside to control upward or downward movement of the pillars. On-off reversing switch and indicator lamps are on the front side while a hand wheel to manually move the pillars is on the
right. The load frame has fixed speed of 5.08cm, per minute. Operated on 230 Volts A.C.
