TIME CONSTANT OF MANOMETER MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLPC:13
DESCRIPTION:
The present set-up is designed to study the characteristics of a U Tube manometer. It consists of a U Tube manometer, which is pressurized by air. A suitable and proper arrangement has done for charging and discharging the manometer fluid in the manometer. This arrangement facilitates to observe the response of different types of manometer fluids of different heights. An air pressure regulator is provided to change the pressure in the manometer. All components are assembled on a frame to form a tabletop set-up.

To find the characteristics of U-tube manometer.
To estimate the theoretical time constant and damping coefficient.

Manometer Material borosilicate glass, U-tube type, height 1 meter.
Pressure Regulator 0-2 Kg/cm2.
Stop Watch Electronic.
Mini Air Compressor 1 CMF and pressure 2-3 kg/cm2 bar with ISI mark moter  and automatic switch.
Manometer Fluid 1 kg mercury.
The whole unit is assembled rigidly on a base plate and mounted on a stand. Most of the parts are powder coated and rests are painted with auto paints, stand of 2-3 feet height with four wheels.
 
 

EXPERIMENTAL FLUME FLOW CHANNEL
DESCRIPTION 
Experimental section lengths of 2.5 m extendable up to 5 m closed water circuit and inclination adjustment 
This is a self-contained open channel designed for studying flow phenomena with a change in bed slope. It is to be used with optional accessories and models below. 
The channel is of rectangular cross section supported by a rectangular steel frame. Side walls are transparent to allow full visual observation and are supported by adjustable steel brackets to ensure accurate wall alignment. Tilting can be adjusted by a manual screw jack. The middle section of the bed can be adjusted manually upward or downward by a screw. A head tank with a stilling baffle provides smooth flow and water is returned to the storage tank via an end tank. Models are attached to the top edges or bed of the flume by screws. Screw holes at the bed can also be used for pressure tapping to measure pressure loss along the channel length.

DESCRIPTION:
The setup studies behaviour of single tank system. It consists of supply tank, pump for water circulation, Rotameter for flow measurement, one process tanks with scale. The components are assembled on frame to form tabletop models.

To obtain the step response of a single tank system level system.

SLUMP TEST APPARATUS
TECHNICAL DETAIL

The slump cone is filled with freshly mixed concrete and is tamped with a tamping bar in four layers. The top of the concrete is levelled off  with the top of the slump cone, the cone is lifted vertically up and the slump  of the sample is immediately measured. Base has cleats on its underside to help dig into the ground surface. Positive clamping of slump cone to the base while filling and tamping the concrete.
A combination swivel carrying handle also serves as the datum making the conventional and somewhat awkward measuring procedure of using a foot rule and a datum bar, a thing of the past.
