BERNOULLI THEOREM APPARATUS

DESCRIPTION:
The equipment is designed and fabricated to demonstrate the Bernoullis theorem.  It consists of a test section made of acrylic.  It has convergent and divergent sections.  Pressure tapings are provided at different locations in convergent and divergent section. Present set-up is self contained water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank, centrifugal pump etc. An arrangement is done to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stopwatch.
RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS
To verify Bernoullis Theorem experimentally.
To plot the Total energy Vs distance.

PIPE SURGE & WATER HAMMER APPARATUS

DESCRIPTION :
The equipment is self-contained and is close circuit system. It consists of two test sections, one for pipe surge and other for water hammer phenomenon. The whole system incorporates a head tank, measuring tank, sump tank, circulating pump, a lever operated gate valve and flow control valve. The water enters the test pipe via the constant head tank and discharges into the measuring tank. Two electronic Pressure sensors with current output of 4 – 20mA are installed on the unit. 
EXPERIMENTATION: 
To demonstrate the surge phenomenon in pipe.
To demonstrate the oscillatory characteristics of surge shaft.

FLUID FRICTION APPARATIS MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLFM-28
Description
The present setup is designed to study the friction head losses through pipes. fittings. and flow metering devices. Four different ID sizes smooth pipes and one artificially roughened pipe is connected in parallel. A valve arrangement is provided to operate the one pipe at a time. Various types of fitting are also fitted with pressure taps to conduct the experiment. Venturi meter. orifice
meter and pitot tube also accompanies the set-up. To measure the pressure difference across the each fitting. pressure taps are taken to manometer with help of no spill quick release couplings. Present set-up is selfcontained water re-circulating unit. provided with a sump tank. centrifugal pump etc. Water is pumped by means of centrifugal pump and passing through the selected test sections. it returns back to the sump which make the system re-circulating type. Flow of water is diverted either to measuring tank or sump tank with the means of a flow diverter. when needed. Flow control valve and bypass valve are fitted in water line to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank with piezometer and stopwatch. The supplied set-up is complete in all respect. Only water supply and electricity
supply is to be provided by the end user for running the set-up.
