CENTER OF PRESSURE APPARATUS MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLFM-18
DESCRIPTION :
The Centre of Pressure Apparatus has been designed to determine the static thrust exerted by a fluid on a submerged surface and allow comparison of the measured magnitude and position of this force with simple theory.A fabricated quadrant is mounted on a balance arm, which pivots on knife-edges. The knife-edges coincide with the centre of arc of the quadrant. Thus, of the hydrostatic forces acting on the quadrant when immersed, only the force on the rectangular end face gives rise to a moment about the knife-edges. The balance arm incorporates a balance pan for the weights supplied and an adjustable counterbalance. This assembly is mounted on top of an acrylic tank, which may be leveled by adjusting screwed feet. An indicator attached to the side of the tank shows when the balance arm is horizontal. Water is admitted to the top of the tank by a flexible tube and may be drained through a cock in the side of the tank. The water level is indicated on a scale on the side of the quadrant.
EXPERIMENTATION
Determining the centre of pressure on both a submerged or partially submerged plane surface and comparison with the theoretical position.

ELECTRICAL ANALOGY APPARATUS MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLFM-19
DESCRIPTION:
The apparatus is in two parts namely–
1. Experimental Setup
2. Analogue Field Plotter
The Experimental setup consists of a transparent tank of 400-450mm. area and 75 mm depth. In this tank the model under study is to be installed. The model is to be designed as per the requirements out of copper and Bakelite plates. A sample model arrangement will be given with setup.
A Probe is mounted on a trolley, which can traverse in two planes fitted on tray to locate equipotential lines. X – Y Co-ordinates of the probe at each point can be located on the scale fitted on the cross slide.
Necessary potential can be given with the help of Analogue Field Plotter can be displayed on the meter provided.

FORCED VORTEX APPARATUS MAKE :CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO
DESCRIPTION :
The experimental set up consist of a circular transparent cylindrical tank in which plate is rotated with the help of a variable speed motor so that the cylinder rotates about its vertical axis with the help of a V belt and  forced vortex is formed. An upper probe can be transversed horizontally & vertically across full diameter of the vessel so that water surface profile can be measure. Both axes contain graduations so that exact position of the probe is known. The experimental procedure involves measurement of the resulting free surface that represents the variation of the sum of the pressure head and datum head. An arrangement is provided to drain the vessel.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To plot the surface profile of a forced vortex by measurement of the surface profile coordinates.
UTILITIES REQUIRED :
Electricity Supply: Single Phase 220 V AC, 50 Hz, 5-15 amp socket with earth connection.
Water Supply (Initial fill).
Drain required.
Floor Area Required: 1 m x 1 m.
Technical detail
Cylinder : Material Acrylic. Dia. 200 mm (approx.)
Height: 200mm approx.
Motor : Variable Speed, DC Motor, Compatible capacity.
Control Panel Comprises of :
Speed Control Unit, Standard make On/Off Switch, Mains Indicator, etc.
Instruction Manual : An ENGLISH instruction manual will be provided along
with the Apparatus
The whole set-up is well designed and arranged in a good quality painted structure.
