MARSH CONE
 Description:
The Marsh cone is a simple device for measuring viscosity by observing the time it takes a known volume of liquid to flow from a cone through a short tube.
Specification:
•The Marsh Cone ix 6 inch in diameter at the top and 12 inch long, and tapers to join a tube 2 inch ling and 3/16 inch inside dia.
•The capacity of the funnel is 1500cc.
•Time in seconds required to flow out 1000 cc of slurry from cone is measured as funnel viscosity of the material.
 

NORTH DAKOTA CONE TEST
 Description:
This test is simpler and more rapid than the CBR test and can be easily applied for in-situ field test. This was developed by North Dakota Highway Department. For use with pavement design method similar to that associated with CBR test.
Specification:
•The instrument consists of a rod carrying a loading platform at the top and a hardened steel cone at the bottom.
•The rod is mounted vertically and slides freely up and down in the collars of the frame and can be locked in any position as required.
•The conical tip penetrates the soil through an aperture in the cast iron base.
•The loading platform carries a graduated plunger which enters one of the side supports and permits the reading of the penetration correct to 1 mm, 
•Supplied with set of weights consists 7 nos. 5 kg weight and one hardened steel cone.
 

SOIL HYDROMETER
Description:
Soil Hydrometer is ssed for grain size analysis of soils where more than 10% of the material will pass through 75 microns I.S. sieve.
Manufactured from clear transparent glass having uniform clarity throughout the upper end on which density scale is engraved.
The scale range is 0.0995 to 1.030 density (gms/cc) at 270C. Smallest division on the scale is 0.0005.
 
 

LEAF FILTER MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMO-24
DESCRIPTION
Leaf filters, sometimes called tank filters, they consists of flat filtering elements (leaves) supported in a shell. The leaves are circular, arc-sided, or rectangular, and they have filtering surface on both faces. The shell is a cylindrical tank .The set-up consists of flat filtering elements (leaves) supported in a slurry tank. A filter leaf consists of a perforated plate over which a filter medium of woven fabric is fitted. The whole assembly is connected to a vacuum pump through a filtrate receiver. An agitator is fitted in the slurry tank. Drain valve is provided in it. The set-up is operated batch wise.
EXPERIMENTATION
To determine the specific cake resistance for the given slurry using Leaf Filter

The whole set-up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PI: Paint.
 

BALL MILL VARIABLE SPEED MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMO-03
DESCRIPTION:
Ball Mills are horizontal rotating cylindrical steel chamber of half filled with steel balls. The size reduction is accomplished by the impact of balls as they fall back after being lifted by the baffles fitted in the rotating chamber. Ball Mill is fitted on a sturdy MS frame. Charging of balls and material is done by the means of opening provided in the chamber. The chamber is turning about the horizontal axis through a reduction gearbox drive through a ½ HP variable speed motor. Drive is provided to vary the RPM. A RPM indicator with proximity switch is provided in the set-up. A revolution counter is provided to find out the number of turns. Special arrangement is done to free the Ball Mill from reduction gearbox for charging and discharging the material. 
EXPERIMENTATION:
To study effect of RPM on the power consumption of a Ball Mill.
To determine the efficiency of a Ball Mill for grinding a material of known Wi.
